Get Clarity. WHAT IS A PEPTIDE? Peptides are short chains of amino acids that make up certain proteins needed by the body. They provide help with reducing inflammation, improves metabolic health, and supporting the body in healing. The peptide that we are using is called Tirzepatide. We are using a very low dose of Tirzepatide which is a peptide that our body naturally makes - but most people are deficient in. Tirzepatide is a GLP1 + GIP Agonist and works very well to activate GLP-1 and GIP receptors to help reduce blood sugar and increase satiety. Using low doses of this peptide is very effective but also prevents side effects that can occur in high doses. WHO IS A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR THE PURE PEPTIDE COLLECTIVE PROGRAM (PPC)? The program will help people who would like assistance with slowing down the aging process, reducing inflammation, and losing stubborn weight effectively with minimal side effects. Research has shown that it can be helpful for reducing inflammation and addressing auto-immune conditions. DO I NEED A DOCTOR TO REFER ME TO PURE PEPTIDE COLLECTIVE? You do not require a practitioner’s referral to participate in the Pure Peptide Collective program. WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE PPC YEAR PROGRAM? As part of the PPC program, you will receive 4 sets of comprehensive blood work, access to the Pure Peptide Online Course, access to bi-weekly virtual group meetings, and a detailed PPC Patient Handbook. HOW LONG DO I GET ACCESS TO THE PURE PEPTIDE ONLINE COURSE? You have access to the course for 1 year (with an option to renew annually at a low cost). WHEN ARE THE VIRTUAL GROUP MEETINGS? Most Thursdays either from 12-12:30 pm or 1-1:30 pm. The “ Dosing Virtual ” meetings are mandatory , but the “Ask us Anything” related to the program virtual meetings are optional. You may find yourself wanting to join these meetings at the beginning of the program when you have questions. However, once you have an understanding of the content, you may choose not to attend them. We are there if you need us! WHY DO I NEED MULTIPLE BLOOD WORK? We do require blood work to be completed at the start of the program before you begin taking the peptides. The 6-month, and 12-month sets of bloodwork are also mandatory to help us track your progress with biochemical markers. The 3-month set of bloodwork is optional but encouraged. IS THE BLOOD WORK COVERED BY OHIP? Yes! While OHIP will cover the blood work that will be completed as part of this program, the cost of the course cannot be claimed under any employer or individual insurance policy. ARE THERE ANY CONTRAINDICATIONS THAT PREVENT MY INVOLVEMENT? This therapy is NOT ALLOWED if you: 1) are pregnant 2) have a history of pancreatitis 3) have a family history of medullary thyroid cancer or multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN2) 4) have end-stage renal disease 5) have gastroparesis or inflammatory bowel disorders 6) are currently on insulin 7) are under the age of 19 DO I NEED TO CHANGE MY NORMAL ROUTINE IN ANY WAY? To enhance the benefits of this program, it is highly recommended that you maintain a healthy diet, stay active (walking daily, strength training 3x/week), drink plenty of water, get plenty of sleep, and reduce stress. HOW QUICKLY WILL I SEE CHANGES? When you start peptide therapy, it is important to keep in mind that results can vary among individuals and may take time to become noticeable. While some may see improvements within a week, others may need to wait longer. We recommend sticking with the program for its full duration to see lasting effects and emphasize the importance of being patient and consistent throughout the process. The first change you will notice is a change in satiety - you will feel “full” or have less urge to eat. You might even notice that you crave healthier foods. HOW LONG WILL I BE ON MOUNJARO (TIRZEPATIDE)? Within the first year of the program you should be seeing positive results. For some they can stop and assess whether their body is reset and for others there might be a need for a longer treatment time, intermittent use or regular pulsing of the medication. This is very individual. We are happy to help you assess if you need to extend. WHAT IF I’M STILL STRUGGLING WITH FOOD? NEEDING RECIPES MORE GUIDANCE WITH WHAT TO EAT? We recommend seeing our Certified Nutritional Practitioner, Jessica Parkes. She will help strategize your meal plans and give appropriate suggestions and recipes. Tirzepatide is a new peptide and only those with Type 2 Diabetics can get it covered under their insurance plan (depending on your particular plan). We are hoping that in the near future, private insurance may cover Tirzepatide for other conditions as well. The cost of the peptide depends on the dosing that you end up taking.  HOW ARE THE PEPTIDES ADMINISTERED? Peptide injections will be done on a weekly basis, ideally on the same day every week. Instructions will be given within the Pure Peptide Course for proper administration. CAN I GET A REFUND? Purchase of the Pure Peptide Collective Program is FINAL SALE . If the preliminary blood work is flagged and you cannot participate in the program, we will provide you a refund of the program MINUS a $300 administration fee . PURE PEPTIDE COLLECTIVE RENEWAL (AFTER YEAR 1) The cost to renew your Pure Peptide Collective membership is $500 + HST. Renewal includes continued access to program materials and resources, ongoing facilitator support, and lab work to be completed in Month 1 after renewal and again halfway through the program.
